About the Jewish Cultural Arts Committee
The Columbia Jewish Cultural Arts Committee of the Katie and Irwin Kahn Jewish Community Center presents artistic events consistent with Jewish tradition. Once a month since the year 2000, this very dedicated group of individuals has diligently met to plan programs, talk about the arts, and have fun. Our programs are diverse and are open to all. We strive to collaborate with the community entities to entertain, teach, and inspire. Dedicated members of our community have met since 1999 planning cultural arts events for the Jewish Community Center. Past events have included Fiddler on the Roof; Alhambra; the Afro-Semitic Experience; Curious Moon Puppet Show; American Arts Trio; Jewish Folk Storytelling; Hook and Eye; Pucks' Theatre; My America Concert; Tel Aviv Cafe', Southern Klezmer, and more.
This project is funded by the Cultural Council of Richland and Lexington Counties and the South Carolina Arts Commission., which receives support from the National Endowment for the Arts and Susan & John Bennett Memorial Arts Fund of the Coastal Community Foundation of SC.
